"Who said What?!" Du Jour:

For the Love of "Randomity"

There are a lot of odd things in this world that we are both aware of and unaware of. We are aware of those we see with our naked eyes. It's as bad as the optical illusion I talked about earlier. There are countless words in the English language: there are interesting ones that are long obsolete, and ones that remain. We must know words can trick us. You must know that most people have such a way with words that they can cheat and convince you of whatever things they want you to do.

Furthermore, words play with your brain especially when you don't know their meaning. Suddenly somebody tells you something and you don't understand what they're saying, you just sort of smirk or breathe a smile because you just don't know what in the world they're saying and don't know how to respond and you don't especially want to look stupid. Let me break the news to you my friend, you already look stupid to begin with!
For Pete's sake, for all you know they're telling you how you're going to die! lol That could be a very far-fetched idea but hey, it can be a possibility. This is why you need to know words and broaden your vocabulary a little. Learn words like "obbligato"- you might mistake it to be Spanish or Italian, and say "Oh yeah, obligation". No, you dummy! It's an English word and it means music accompaniment by a solo instrument other than a piano! You see words mess with your brain...

I said all that, to ask you this question of the day, something to think about perhaps for those people who have nothing to do, or those bored and bewildered:

"Why do we pay tolls on the freeway?"
or
"Why is it we go from here to there and then when we get there, we're still here and not there?"

Very tricky huh? Very tricky indeed...

Yeah, I thought they were called freeways because they were "free".
