Another random thought but you might not have expected a post as serious as this coming from me, let alone think about me thinking about it. This is somewhat (definitely lol) personal. And if you think the title sounds "traitoristic"(my word!)... as hmmmm... I perceived the question in your stare when you read my title. "Can you actually multi-pledge your allegiance?" READ ON!!!
You say...
Allegiance is loyalty to one and one only - none other. It is an oath to obedience, a duty of obligation either to defend or any other... obligation of fidelity and genuine obedience to a country or to a person. If you are loyal to one, you cannot be loyal to the other! That would be betrayal! You're a traitor!
I say...
My friend, first of all, your puny brain must comprehend this when I say, it is a freedom of speech to say "I multi-pledge!" (lol) No, in all seriousness, I am most certainly loyal and most definitely under obligation to anything both parties are involved in. Although, I cannot be in two places at once but I can have a part of me to in the other and another in another. Don't get me wrong because I would do as much for one as much as I would for the other. I am both equally indebted to them- therefore, there is no betrayal and I am no traitor for I merely love and I simply serve. Dramatically speaking, I would even as much as die for one as I would for the other; there is no unfairness, inequality, injustice, partiality, one-sidedness, prejudice, however you wanna call it-
Loyalty is all there is to it.
I am loyal to both even unto death.
Oh and by the way I can be sober sometimes... That's when I multi-pledge! You should do it some time...
